Until the advent of LED technology surge protection was not associated with lighting design or installation. Today situations where LED lighting technology is directly and negatively impacted by power surges is becoming an all too regular occurrence.  We have all experienced LEDs burning out too early, or drivers failing prematurely; whether caused by dirty power, being at the end of the line, or simply other equipment connected on the same distribution panel as your LED lighting, it is a costly issue that can be mitigated.  This presentation will discuss why transients can be the reason your LED luminaires and drivers are failing prematurely, what to look for to determine if this is the case, and how to protect your investment against transients.
