There’s a new IES Lighting Practice document in town, with art, appearance, environment, reassurance, and comfort in its soul. This session will take you through the design recommendations that are unique to pedestrian areas in parks, civic squares, along waterways, in plazas, restaurants, areas around sports fields, and sculpture gardens. Focal points, colour, safety, visibility of others, consideration for critters, minimizing intrusive light and skyglow… all these issues will be covered including a review of recommendations and supportive tables.
