Just south of Calgary, nestled in the Priddis foothills lies the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory.

This research and education facility houses three telescopes, is part of the Skynet Robotic Telescope Network, and has been a leading local voice for the protection of dark skies.

Please join us for this special opportunity to tour the facilities, partake in presentations and discussions on astronomy, light pollution, and dark sky preservation efforts, and weather permitting do some star gazing through telescopes much bigger than yours.

There will be a light dinner with refreshments as well as a shuttle bus from Sommerset C-Train station to enable those without personal vehicles to attend.
